REMEMBERING ARIEL BACKSTROM

TUSCALOOSA, AL – Family and friends are mourning the loss of 15 year old Northridge High School student, Ariel Backstrom.

Ariel was killed in a car accident early Thursday morning, when the 2004 Mazda 6 she was traveling in collided with a Mercedes SUV driving in the opposite direction. The driver of the car, Brianna Hyche is currently recovering at UAB Hospital.

Ariel was a 10th-grader and majorette at Northridge.
