PULLING A FIRE TRUCK FOR THE ARC

Firetruck Pull For The Arc

Several teams gathered at the University Mall to participate in the fifth annual Pullin’ for The Arc to benefit the Arc of Tuscaloosa.

Teams of ten competed to see who can pull a 44,000 pound Tuscaloosa fire truck for 50 feet only using a rope. The money raised will be used to keep up the vehicles used by the Arc of Tuscaloosa, a organization that helps people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

“the arc has about 15 to 20 vans, large buses, or vans that you might see, so this would cover 3 or so of the match money so that we can out that together with federal money to buy new vans.”

The Arc of Tuscaloosa typically raises around $20,000-25,000 ever year.
