A public hearing is set for Tuesday at 6 p.m. inside the council chambers to see if Sideline Bar and Grill will remain open.

District 7, Tuscaloosa City councilwoman Soyna Mckinstry said the hearing is due to safety issues. Back on March 7, two people were shot outside of the business. However, the owner has said safety measures are in place including, security guards, and parking attendants keeping people from roaming around the parking lot.

Mckinstry said that anytime people are in business they have to go about things in a certain manner and anytime there’s a concern of safety it needs to be addressed.

The public will have an opportunity to speak for or against revoking the business license.
