Mountain Biking 1210066 1920

No matter the age, it’s never too early to get accustomed to the outdoors. But the different terrain, endurance training, and balance required are what set mountain biking apart from other sports.

There’s a program coming to West Alabama that’s encouraging young girls to head outdoors and hop on a trail.

Little Bellas teaches girls all about mountain biking, getting girls involved in the sport as well as gain friendships and explore other outdoor activities.

The program offers weekly summer multi-day camps, and mentors and girls ride local trails and focus on strengthening skills in team building.

Since the program began, 2,800 participants have signed up to be apart of Little Bellas across the country.

In Tuscaloosa, the program is set to start March 28 going through May 16, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. every Thursday at Munny Sokol trailhead. It’s being offered to girls ages 7 through 13.
