Four people are wounded, and one is in critical condition after two separate shootings on Sunday in west Birmingham.

The first shooting happened shortly before 11 p.m. in the 1000 block of Third Avenue West. Investigators said two women and a man were struck by bullets while they were inside a car.

About 30 minutes later, more shots were fired at an apartment complex, just two blocks from the first shooting at 1300 block of Fourth Avenue West.

Investigators said the bullet grazed one person, however they were not seriously injured.

Authorities said the shootings were not connected to the Magic City Classic football game. Currently, no arrests have been made.
