POLICE SEARCHING FOR SUSPECTS AFTER MAN SHOT SUNDAY NIGHT

The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit is searching for suspects after someone shot a 22-year-old man Sunday evening.

Police said they got the call around 9:45 p.m. The victim was found suffering from a gunshot to his leg in the 3200 block of 20th Street in Tuscaloosa. He was taken to DCH Regional Medical Center, where he was treated for non life-threatening injuries.

The victim told police he was leaving a store when the suspect approached him and tried stopping him. The victim said he didn’t know the suspect, so he kept walking, and that’s when the suspect shot him.

Police said the suspect has not yet been identified.
