UPDATE 3 p.m.: The Tuscaloosa Police Department says Kevin Archibald turned himself in today.

Tuscaloosa Police say they’re searching for 23-year-old man wanted on charges of firing a gun into a vehicle occupied by a 3-year-old child.

Police said it happened early this morning in the 100 block of 29th Avenue East, near Nucor Steel. The victim, a 25-year-old woman, said she was at the location with her children when an unknown man and woman arrived. The victim said the woman and another woman got involved in an argument, and the man, now identified as Kevin Tyrone Archibald, 23, got out of his vehicle with a long gun and demanded the victim’s phone.

After the man took her phone, the victim said the man told the other women to fight, then shot into her vehicle, which was occupied by her 3-year-old daughter.

Investigators said they’ve obtained warrants for robbery and discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle on Archibald, and are asking anyone who knows his location to contact the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office at 205-464-8672.
