POLICE SEARCH FOR SUSPECT AFTER SHOOTING ON MLK

TUSCALOOSA – Police are searching for 24-year-old Tavaris Deon Brown after a 45-year-old man was shot in the back of his head Sunday evening.

The shooting happened around 5:30 p.m. on the 3300 block of M.L. King Jr. Boulevard.

According to the victim, he and Brown got into a verbal altercation that lead to Brown pulling a gun and shooting at the victim several times. The victim was hit once in the back of head, but was not seriously injured, and fled the scene.

Investigators obtained an Attempted Murder warrant on Brown. But, he has not been located. If you have information that could help investigators find Brown call Tuscaloosa County Metro Homicide Unit at (205) 464 – 8640.
