POLICE: MAN SHOOTS, KILLS BROTHER TUESDAY
One man is dead and another is in custody facing murder charges after a shooting in Tuscaloosa Tuesday evening.
Homicide investigators said the victim, Travis Nichols, 37, was shot once in the stomach by his brother, Michael Nichols, 56. The victim was taken to DCH Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
An eyewitness at the scene confirmed what happened, and police said Nichols admitted during questioning to shooting his brother. Homicide investigators said they have not yet found a clear motive for the shooting.
Nichols was arrested and has been charged with murder. He was placed in the Tuscaloosa County Jail on a $60,000 bond.
