Police looking for man after 2 found dead in suburban home

HELENA, Ala. (AP) – Police are on the lookout for a man sought for questioning after two people were found dead in a home in suburban Birmingham.

Authorities say the bodies of a man and a woman were found in a house in Helena, located about 20 miles south of Birmingham, on Wednesday afternoon.

Investigators didn’t immediately identify the people or disclose the cause of death, but the case was considered a homicide.

Authorities say they are trying to locate 41-year-old John Peyton Scott III of Helena following the killings.

Police Chief Brad Flynn say the killings weren’t a random act and investigators didn’t believe there’s a danger to the public.
