UPDATE: MAN WANTED FOR BURGLARY, KIDNAPPING TURNS SELF IN

UPDATE, April 28: Javaris Lane turned himself in to the Perry County Sheriff’s Department Wednesday. He was transported to the Tuscaloosa County Jail, where he was booked on kidnapping, burglary and robbery charges, with a bond totaling $120,000.


UPDATE: Police say they need help finding the man accused of kidnapping and assaulting his girlfriend from the Woodlands apartment complex earlier this month.

Javaris Dejon Lane, 26, is being sought on warrants for burglary, kidnapping and robbery.

Police said Lane has connections in Perry County and Birmingham.

Tuscaloosa Police are investigating after a 24-year-old woman says she was kidnapped from her apartment by her boyfriend.

Police said she came to police headquarters this morning and said she was at her Woodlands apartment on Hargove Road when her boyfriend kicked in the apartment door, forced her at gunpoint to her car and forced her to drive him to Forrester Gardens Apartments.

The victim said her boyfriend assaulted her while they were inside the car. She was transported to DCH Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.
