POLICE: ALCOHOL MAY HAVE BEEN FACTOR IN SINGLE-VEHICLE WRECK THAT KILLED DRIVER

SELMA – Police say alcohol may have been a factor in a single-vehicle crash that took the life of a Forkland man early Sunday morning.

It happened on U.S. Highway 43 year the 107 mile marker, about 15 miles south of Linden.

Carl Fitzgerald Johnson, 25, was killed when the 1979 Oldsmobile Cutlass he was driving left the road and struck a tree. Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene.

Alabama State Troopers said they’re still investigating the wreck.
