PICKENS COUNTY SCHOOLS ADOPTING HYBRID LEARNING SCHEDULE FOR FIRST SIX WEEKS
Pickens County Schools students will attend class beginning Tuesday, Aug. 18.
Schools will offer a hybrid schedule, with all students having one virtual class day each week. Pickens County Schools Superintendent Jamie Chapman said the process works like this:
“A ‘Schedule A’ kid would be Monday/Wednesday. ‘Schedule B’ would be Tuesday/Thursday,” Chapman said. Everyone will be virtual Friday. That is for the first six weeks and that’s the plan and continues as of today.”
Chapman says virtual Friday is designed to ensure everyone involved in the learning process maintains a virtual element, in case schools have to return to exclusively online instruction.
