Pickens County Bests Hubbertville in Close Game

Pickens County Football hosted Hubbertville for a battle in 1A.

Pickens County would strike first on the ground with a run by No. 6 Xerrance Washington to get an early 6-0 lead for the Tornadoes.

Hubbertville would have answers for the Pickens County Defense, as No. 7 Christopher Key would run in two touchdowns himself on the ground.

The Tornadoes would come back with a score on the ground again with a goal line run from No. 5 Xavier King.

Pickens County ran away with the 28-26 victory over Hubbertville to get their first win of the 2020 season. The Tornadoes will travel to Marion County on Friday, Sept. 11, 2020.

Hubbertville drops to 1-1 on the year and will also be traveling for their next game at Berry High School to take on the Wildcats on Friday, Sept. 11, 2020.
