Pickens County authorities seek suspect in Sunday double murder

Police in Reform are still searching for answers after two men were found shot to death at a home on Fifth Street Southwest Sunday evening.
Pickens County investigators identified the victims as 23-year-old Qualyin Smith of Columbus, Mississippi, and 27-year-old Christopher Hill of Northport.
Investigating agencies did say how the two were related or what a motive may have been to harm them.
Reform Police Chief Richard Black said this act of violence has their entire community mourning.
“Reform is actually a very safe place,” Black said. “Probably as safe as anywhere in America today. It is very unusual for us to have this kind of occurrences. We have only had about 3 people killed in Reform in the last 25 years from criminal actions.”
No arrests have been made at this time.
