PHILLY BOYZ CLOSING FOR GOOD ON SATURDAY

The COVID-19 pandemic has been hard on many businesses, and many business owners are making tough decisions in the virus’ wake.

Philly Boyz on the Strip is one of those restaurants, as their last day in business will be Saturday.

Manager Ryan Privette said they’d be celebrating their three-year anniversary in August, but the hit they’ve taken over the past few months is too drastic to overcome.

“We had to shut down for five weeks, and in the middle of it we reopened,” he said. “With students being gone for the majority of it, and people aren’t out and about like they normally are.”

Summer is already their slow season, he said.

“It definitely hit harder and sooner than we expected this year,” Privette said.
