Pet of the Week, Oct. 12, 2021: Meet Zion

Pet Of The Week

By WVUA Digital Reporter Anneliese Taggart

Zion and his siblings Pickens, Sipsey and Archer all arrived at the Humane Society of West Alabama from a home in Pickens County that was overloaded with cats. Their elderly owner could no longer care for them, so HSWA stepped in to help her find these sweet babies new homes.

Zion has a giant purr motor — you’ll hear it long before you see him! He was born at the beginning of June and loves exploring all the cat trees and toys at the shelter.

He’s negative for FIV and FeLV, is current on his vaccinations, is neutered and microchipped.

You can bring Zion home for a $75 adoption fee, but HSWA is running a special this month: If you adopt a pair of related animals, you can take them both home for one fee. Two cats for the price of one — what’s better than that?

If you’re interested in adopting from the HSWA, please fill out an adoption application right here.
