Pet of the Week, Nov. 1, 2021: Meet Daisy

Pet Of The Week

This engaging and lovable girl is Daisy, a 2-year-old mix with big corgi energy available for adoption from the Humane Society of West Alabama!

Daisy has a smooth black coat with a white chest and four white socks, and an adorable nubby tail. She’s medium-sized and weighs in at just under 45 pounds.

She was pulled from Metro Animal Shelter after being picked up as a stray.

Daisy loves her people – her whole body and tail will wriggle with excitement when she is with someone she likes, and she’s super sweet, especially when she can clamber into a lap.

She loves to run around the yard and play with her toys and fetch, but she’s still working on bringing the toys back.

Daisy would be OK in an apartment setting as long as she gets enough exercise, but she should not be an outdoor-only dog because she loves her people too much.

Daisy would do best in a home where she is an only dog or with a calmer dog who can balance out her personality.

She’s started on crate training, is up to date on vet care, is heartworm negative, microchipped, and is scheduled to be spayed soon.

All dogs at HSWA are adoptable for $75. You can learn more or fill out an adoption application right here.
