Pet of the Week, March 8, 2022: Meet Moxy

By WVUA 23 Digital Reporter Kyrsten Eller

Two-year-old hound boxer mix Moxy was originally a stray but became a favorite at the Humane Society of West Alabama and is looking for a forever home.

Moxy would be a great addition to any family. Weighing at 34 pounds, he loves to run around, play and is very social as he gets along well with other dogs.

He is very friendly but will need to be watched if he’s outside unattended unless there’s a fence around the yard. He will also be fine in an apartment setting provided that he gets plenty of exercise daily.

HSWA has started on Moxy’s crate training and he is currently up to date on his vet care. He’s tested negative for heartworms, is microchipped and neutered. He is on heartworm and flea and tick prevention.

If you’re looking to adopt Moxy, the adoption fee is $75 and you can submit an application online.

More information on the adoption process can be found here.
