PET OF THE WEEK, JULY 24, 2018: MEET AIDEN

This little cutie is Aiden, a 10-month-old male Labrador mix who looks almost like a pure-blooded Labrador — just fun-sized!

Aiden weighs about 23 pounds and will probably top out around 30 or 35 pounds.

He was pulled from the Tuscaloosa Metro Animal Shelter, where he’d been picked up with his siblings. Aiden was there nearly two months, and he’s much healthier and happier in a home environment.

He’s a sweet pup, but very timid in new surroundings — he needs someone who can help bring him out of his shell and help him socialize.

Aiden would be fine in an apartment environment, but he needs plenty of exercise to burn off that youthful energy. He should not be an outside only dog, and needs plenty of contact with people and socialization.

If you have another dog, great! Other dogs really seem to help bring Aiden out of his shell and make him more comfortable in his surroundings.

If you’re interested in making Aiden or another potential pet in need part of your life, visit humanesocietyofwa.org.

Adoption fees are $75. All dogs and cats come with microchips, and all pets who are old enough have been spayed or neutered.
