Pet of the Week, Jan. 4, 2022: Meet Keisha

Pet Of The Week Keisha

Keisha is an adorable pup available for adoption from the Humane Society of West Alabama who needs lots of love so she can feel happy and safe.

This 6-year-old girl with a smooth brindle coat has a sweet, gentle spirit and weighs just under 40 pounds. She has a calm personality and a low energy level, but she might perk up once she’s found her forever home.

Keisha was pulled from the Tuscaloosa Metro Animal Shelter, where she was taken along with some other animals from a hoarding situation.

She’s shy when you meet her, but once she knows you are her friend, then she just wants to be with you and get cuddles. Keisha wants to feel secure with whoever she’s with, so if you’re a fan of lap dogs, this girl might be for you!

She should do well in an apartment setting provided there is plenty of outside exercises incorporated into her daily activities, and would make a great family pet with children 10 and older.

Keisha would also prefer a home with pets her size or smaller that aren’t too pushy. She gets along fine with cats, and walks great on a leash.

Keisha is up to date on her vet care, is heartworm negative, is microchipped, and is scheduled to be spayed soon. She is on heartworm and flea/tick prevention.
