Pet of the Week, Jan. 18, 2022: Meet Libby

Pet Of The Week Libby Social

This sweetie is Libby, a 2- to 3-year-old female Labrador mix. She has a lean build with a black smooth coat and some white on her chest and weighs in around 52 pounds with a little room to grow.

Libby was pulled from the Metro Animal Shelter, where she’d been picked up as stray.

She is an affectionate and social dog who loves to run around and get her wiggles out before being a cuddle bug, so she may have too much energy for an apartment setting.

A fenced-in yard is a must, so she has room to run around and play. Libby should be fine with children older than 8, because she may knock down younger children by accident. She’s done well with other dogs, but a trial adoption is a must.

Libby is up to date on her vet care, will be spayed prior to adoption, heartworm negative and is microchipped. She is on heartworm and flea/tick prevention.

If you’re interested in adopting Libby or any of the other animals available at the Humane Society of West Alabama, you can read more about the adoption process right here.
