PERSON ROBBED AT GUNPOINT EARLY MONDAY NEAR ALABAMA CAMPUS

The University of Alabama Police Department is warning those who live near the UA campus to be wary of walking alone at night after an off-campus robbery early this morning.

It happened around 12:30 a.m. in the 300 block of Reed Street, near Publix on University Boulevard.

UAPD said the victim was robbed at gunpoint and had a laptop stolen before the two suspects drove away in a green SUV. The victim was not harmed.

The suspects are described as black males, one about 5 feet 8 inches tall with a medium build and shoulder-length dreadlocks in a ponytail, and the other about 5 feet tall with a thin build.
