PEDESTRIAN STRUCK, KILLED THIS MORNING ON HIGHWAY 78 NEAR JASPER

Alabama State Troopers are investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle on U.S. Highway 78 around 5:30 this morning.

Troopers said it happened near the 162 mile marker, about 4 miles east of Jasper.

Matthew Shane Quinn, 43, was walking eastbound when he was struck and killed by a vehicle. Troopers said the vehicle did not stay at the scene.
