Pedestrian in serious condition after getting hit twice Thursday night

A 24-year-old man is fighting for his life this morning after he was struck by two vehicles late Thursday night.
The Tuscaloosa Police Department’s Traffic Homicide Unit was called to Hackberry Lane near Black Bear’s Way around 10:40 p.m. by the first driver, who called 911 and reported she’d accidentally hit the man while she was driving north on Hackberry.
Soon after the first call, a second driver called 911 and reported that he’d also struck the pedestrian.
Investigators closed down that area of Hackberry Lane until shortly after 2 a.m.
The pedestrian was taken to DCH Regional Medical Center after being struck, but he’s since been moved to UAB Hospital. He remains in critical condition.
More information will be released as soon as it’s available.
