PATRIOT PARKWAY SAYS NO TO BIG RIGS
Starting today, larger trucks will no longer be allowed on Patriot Parkway in Tuscaloosa County.
Tuscaloosa County commissioners asked Wednesday that the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office start enforcing their new ordinance that restricts 18-wheelers’ access to Patriot Parkway.
Commissioners said the area is full of homes, children and pets, and that the roads were not built to accommodate larger trucks.
County work crews are erecting “no 18-wheeler” signs along the road today.
