PARRISH ELEMENTARY STUDENTS RECEIVE MONEY, TECH SUPPLIES FOR ENHANCED CLASS EXPERIENCE

Students at Parrish Elementary School in Walker County got some special gifts today.

As part of a continuous commitment to expand broadband access, representatives of Charter Communications joined Alabama Senate Majority Leader Greg Reed in presenting two donations and promote the availability of Spectrum Internet Assist. Seven laptops and $2,500 were donated to the school.

“We have some online programs,” said Parrish principal Thomas Kyzer. “We use Google Classroom and many of our students can’t work on that unless they’re here. So we’re super excited about the fact that they will have that option at home as well, which will help us move forward.

There was also a holiday luncheon, followed by an informational table with giveaways and program materials.
