PARA OFFERING DAY CAMPS STARTING JUNE 1

Looking for summer activities for your kids? A go-to for Tuscaloosa area children is now open for registration.
Tuscaloosa County Park and Recreation Authority is offering day camps June 1 through August 19. The camps offer a variety of recreational activities designed to keep kids active during their summer break.
Health and safety guidelines are PARA’s top priorities, said PARA Youth Activity Coordinator Casie Jones.
“We’re taking protocols and procedures seriously so that we can provide a safe camp experience for all of our campers and their families,” Jones said.
PARA camps will also sanitize surfaces regularly and arrange activities so children are kept at safe distances.
“We will be following sanitation procedures for heavily touched surfaces, and staggering activities so that students will limit the amount of exposure to others,” Jones said.
PARA camps are Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Registration is $30, and camps cost $99 per week. Sibling discounts are available.
