The all-inclusive playground, Mason’s Place, is preparing for Phase 2 of their project.
Due to the Exchange Club of Tuscaloosa’s generous donation, they can do just that.
The organization donated $30,000 to the Tuscaloosa County Park and Recreation Authority Foundation to aid the development of the second phase of Mason’s Place.
We spoke with the president of the Exchange Club, Whit Whitfield, on how he feels about this project.
“I think it’s a wonderful opportunity again to showcase really what our community is and what we can be and really present that opportunity for all children to be able to have a place to go and play,” Whitfield said.
Mason’s Place is an all-inclusive playground for kids of all ages and all abilities.
The playground was named after the Fundraising Chair of the Para Foundation, Barry Mason.
“It’s so uplifting. When you’re in charge of raising this money and then you find people that respond enthusiastically like the exchange club or others. it’s just inspiring, and you work harder than ever,” said Mason.
Mason’s Place is located within Sokol Park South in Northport.
