ONE WEEK LATER: RESIDENTS CONTINUE COMMUNITY CLEANUP

PICKENS COUNTY – One week ago, the Sapps community in Pickens County was rocked by an EF2 tornado.

Residents continue cleaning up debris and their belongings, and several area organizations are coming together to help residents affected by the storm.

Felecia Walker, whose house was hit in the storm, said residents are grateful.

“It’s been a blessing that the people are coming in from all over the world,” she said. “Bringing meals every day, around the clock.

Today, local barbecue restaurant legend Archibald & Woodrow’s was also on the scene, serving up free meals to workers and residents.
