ONE CHILD KILLED, ONE INJURED IN SUNDAY HOUSE FIRE
PRICHARD, Ala. (AP) – One child has been killed and other injured in a Prichard house fire.
The Prichard Fire Department tells media outlets they responded to a report of a house fire Sunday afternoon. Once firefighters were able to enter the building, they found the body of a small child in the front room. Another small child was taken to the hospital with severe burns.
Two adults were able to escape the fire unharmed.
Fire officials say the fire destroyed the home.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The Alabama State Fire Marshall will conduct an independent investigation.
The Prichard Fire Department says there are no indications of foul play.
