OK TIRE STORE MANAGER ARRESTED AFTER DRUG RAID AT WEST TUSCALOOSA BUSINESS

Hubert Scarbrough, General Manager for OK Tire store in West Tuscaloosa was arrested for Trafficking Marijuana.

After numerous complaints of illegal activity.

“On August 2nd, Agents were able to conclude the investigation, the Manager was arrested later on August 16th, he was actually arrested” says Tuscaloosa Police Lieutenant Teena Richardson.

OK Tire Store has been at the Stillman Boulevard location for nearly 50 years.

Richardson says the business did not have anything to do with the illegal activity.

Tuscaloosa Police say the business wasn’t shut down because of the drug bust.

WVUA 23 News spoke with George Dockery, owner of OK Tire Store says he’s highly disappointed.

He says he has future plans for the West Tuscaloosa location.

District One City Councilwoman Phyllis Odom says the business will be a great loss to the community.

Scarbrough is free on a $1,500,000 bond.
