OFFICER INVOLVED ACCIDENT ON GREENDSBORO AVENUE

The Tuscaloosa Police Department responded to a head-on collision involving a TPD Investigator near the intersection of Greensboro Avenue and University Lane at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 11.

Investigator Mason, a nine-year officer with the Tuscaloosa Police Department was traveling southbound on Greensboro Avenue, while the driver of the other vehicle was traveling northbound on Greensboro Avenue.

Both parties sustained non-life threatening injuries and were transported to DCH Medical Center.

The cause of the accident is unknown at the time.

The Northport Police Department is investigating the accident.
