Students young and old have been celebrating the end of the school year for weeks, but on Tuesday, some University of Alabama faculty and staff were the ones having a ball.

The Capstone College of Nursing held their first-ever field day on the college’s lawn Tuesday morning. The goal? Celebrate the end of another successful semester and relieve some stress.

Those in attendance celebrated with food and games, such as kickball.

Dean of the Capstone College of Nursing Dr. Suzanne Prevost said the day is about more than just a good time.

“This is a great opportunity for us to build our team and grow closer as a unit,” she said. “It’s a great break between semesters. In our Nursing Strategic Plan, one of our primary goals is to promote a healthy work environment, and this is one of the ways we do it.”
