NORTHSTAR EMS, NORTHPORT FIRE AND RESCUE HONORED

Monday night’s Northport City Council meeting featured honors for Northstar EMS and Northport Fire & Rescue.

Both were awarded the American Heart Association’s Mission Lifeline EMS Silver Award.

The honor comes for treatment improvements during severe heart attack calls.

Lt. John Poole with Northport Fire & Rescue said the training prepares first responders for much more than heart resuscitation.
