Northridge baseball handled Tuscaloosa rival Paul Bryant, scoring an 11-1 win over the Stampede.

Northridge’s Jack Sanderson and Brady McAbee had two hits a piece. Sanderson also had two RBI in the win.

Sam Christoff and Logan Caldwell also finished with two runs batted in for the Jaguars.

Northridge starter Matthew Sheffield gave up two hits, one run and had nine strikeouts in six innings pitched.

Paul Bryant’s only run was scored by Cam’ron McLeod. With McLeod at second base, Sheffield attempted a pickoff move but the throw went into centerfield. Another errant throw by the Northridge outfielder allowed McLeod to score on the play.

The Jaguars (17-7) and Stampede (13-10) are scheduled to play a doubleheader on Thursday at Paul Bryant High School.
