NORTHPORT RESIDENTS IN SHOCK OVER PLANE CRASH
West Alabama residents are in shock over Sunday morning’s plane crash.
Paul Adams and Sondra Meadows learned of the tragedy not far from their homes just after it happened.
Adams said he first heard of the crash through Facebook and went straight to the scene.
“I’m 67 years old and this is the first time I’ve ever heard of it happening and I’ve been living here all my life,” he said.
Meadows said she learned what was going on just across the street from North Alabama. Even though she lives close to the airport, she said she’s never been concerned about her safety.
“We didn’t hear anything, we didn’t see anything, until (relatives in North Alabama) started calling me just to see if we were OK,” she said.
