NORTHPORT POLICE OFFER JUNIOR-TEEN ACADEMY
Young law enforcement officers of the future have the opportunity to get a head start on their career in Northport this summer.
The Northport Police Department has put together a junior-teen academy for students who want a realistic view of what police and other law enforcement officers do, including what their jobs are like, and what kinds of opportunities are out there.
“It’s going to be really personal, really hands-on,” said Northport Police Community Relations Officer Carrie Baker.
Applications are available for prospective students. The academy is free, but space is limited.
