Northport Mayor Bobby Herndon received a huge response to his relief drive for Kentucky tornado victims and he’s currently planning a second trip to assist those affected by the tornado.
Herndon said things looked different inside the building from when they arrived and when they left.
“Now, I want to encourage the viewers that they are full of used clothes,” said Herndon. “So don’t bring anymore used clothing. If you would like to give, any kind of supplies, personal hygiene, baby supplies, dog food, food. Just anything. Tarps, tools, we can get them up there. I’ll be happy to take them up there for the viewers.”
Herndon said he is waiting for a phone call from Kentucky before heading back.
