NORTHPORT FARMERS MARKET SEES LESS CUSTOMERS ON OPENING DAY

It was opening day on Saturday for the farmer’s market in Northport. Due to the pandemic and the cool ground, many farmers were unable to have their usual supply of crops for opening day.

However, they did have a steady flow of customers but, it was nothing like past years. The current pandemic kept many customers away.

“It’s making a big difference its usually swarming, especially the Saturday right before Easter every year,” said Adrienne Williams, a local vendor. “I been here, [this is]my fourth year and every year before Easter it’s busy. This is the first year but we still had constant traffic you know it’s still been good not like normal.”
