NORTHPORT ELEMENTARY STUDENTS RUN FOR AN EDUCATIONAL CAUSE

Northport Elementary Color Run

Northport Elementary School put the “fun” in fundraiser last week as students participated in their annual color run.

Students ran through colored powder to raise money to purchase iPads for their school. The school put on this fundraiser to also get students excited about healthy lifestyles.

Principal Jeff Campbell said he is grateful for the support they have received.

“And it just says a lot about our school, our community of Northport, the parents that we have in this school, the support in this school,” he said. “We’re very fortunate and blessed.”

So far, the students have raised $33,000, almost beating last year’s record of $34,000.
