NO VARSITY HOMECOMING GAME FOR CHARGERS

The North River Christian Academy Chargers have been gearing up all season for this weekend’s homecoming game, but a turn of events has this year’s match-up looking drastically different.
Early in the week, the Chargers got word that the opposing team has too many injuries to field a varsity team for Friday, so there will not be a varsity homecoming game for North River Christian. The JV team will still have a game, but this means there will be senior players who will not be able to play in their last homecoming game.
Senior recognition is also scheduled for Friday night during the the last home game of the season.
Senior players tell WVUA 23 they are of course extremely disappointed, but to them homecoming is more than just a game.
They are throwing their support behind their younger teammates and making the best of the situation.

The Chargers JV homecoming game will be at Charger Park off of MLK Boulevard Friday night at 7:00 PM.
