New Mercedes-Benz Logistics Center Coming to Vance
Mercedes-Benz U.S. International is constructing a new logistics center in Vance.
The project will help support Mercedes’ electric vehicle production, and the center’s primary purpose is serving as a storage and sequence facility for parts used in EVA production.
The $53 million parts assembly and sequencing plant on will be Locate on Will Walker Road.
Tuscaloosa County Industrial Development Authority’s Executive Director Danielle Winningham said the plant will bring 373 new jobs to Tuscaloosa County.
“This is an interesting time with COVID-19 and we’re excited to see new jobs” said Winningham.
The plant is expected to be completed by July 2022.
