NEW FORKLAND MAYOR ANNOUNCED

While most municipalities elected their representatives in September and held runoff elections in October, that wasn’t the case in the Greene County town of Forkland.

The town’s runoff election was canceled in October by then-Mayor Ollie Vester, and Secretary of State John Merrill’s office rescheduled it for Dec. 12.

Charlie McAlpine was elected as mayor. Willie Sashington will serve in the district 5 city council seat.
