TUSCALOOSA, Ala.—A new metal stamping facility is coming to Jasper. The plant, Yorozu Automotive Alabama, Inc., will produce suspensions and other components for automotive assembly plants.

The 150,000-square-foot facility will be located on 50 acres at the Jasper Industrial Park. Yorozu corporation said it will invest over $100 million to construct and equip the facility and will employ 300 people.

Jasper Mayor Sonny Posey said this is great for his town.

“Your city, county, and state leadership have spent hundreds of hours working with the great people of Yorozu,” Posey said. “Which is resulting in the biggest local jobs announcement in recent memory.”

According to Gov. Robert Bentley, construction will start by January 2016 and production is expected to begin in July 2017.
