Need probate records? Tuscaloosa County launches online database

Tuscaloosa County Probate Office

The Tuscaloosa County Probate Office is making it a heck of a lot easier to get records with the launch of its new online records site.

This new software enables users to create an account, find probate records, pay and get them downloaded without stepping foot in the probate office.

Common records found at the probate office include those handling wills and estates, guardians and conservatorships, adoptions and name changes.

Probate Judge Rob Robertson said other new features include an attorney portal, and a quick search so you can find what you need quickly.

“We revised the website and did some improvements on our software through COVID,” Robertson said. “Also we took down the fee just to make it easier for people to access and that remains today. It’s a lot more user-friendly and easier for people to get data.”

Currently, records are free to search and download or print.

You can sign up and search for records right here.
