NAUVOO CHURCH REBUILD CONTINUES ONE YEAR AFTER FIRE

The Nauvoo Church of God is rebuilding after a fire destroyed it back in March 2016. The only part undamaged was the fellowship center that includes the gym, life-center and Sunday school classrooms.

“We’re all sad what we went through,” said Associate Pastor Tyler Keene. “All the devastation we went through. It’s really hilarious and ironic in god just for us to sit back and say, this has his fingerprints all over it, he was wanting us to do something different so we’re following what god wants us to do.”

The church has been holding services in the fellowship center since the fire. The 200 members of the congregation are excited for a new beginning.
