NATURE OFFERS RESPITE FROM COVID-19 CONCERNS

Aldridge Garden

I’ve done a lot of stories in 40 years, but this might be the simplest story I’ve ever done.

For the past two months we’ve done so many stories about COVID-19 and death and illness, and stress that many people in this country and around the world are dealing with.

But on March 27 I found a place that’s open — open to everyone. It’s called Aldridge Gardens, and it’s located near Birmingham.

The privately owned garden is open for visitors from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. Visitors should continue practicing the Alabama Department of Public Health’s social distancing guidelines.

Getting out in nature — even if it’s just your backyard — is relaxing. Try it. But if you can’t do it right now, watch the video above.
