National survey: Ivey among top-liked governors around U.S.

This week, Morning Consult released its latest data on the popularity of governors around the country, and Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey came out near the top of the list.

The ranking is based on states’ voters’ approval of their governor’s job performance. Ivey ranked in as the most popular female governor, and in all scored No. 8.

She offered her thanks to Alabamians below:

“I love Alabama and her people and it is the highest honor of my life to serve as their governor,” said Ivey in a statement. “Having the confidence and support of Alabamians means the most to me. I assure the people of Alabama that as long as I am governor, your government will always reflect your values. We are experiencing one of the strongest economic comebacks in the country, with more jobs available now than ever before. We are putting a greater focus on making meaningful reforms to areas that affect the everyday lives of families like in our schools and on our infrastructure all to ensure Alabama’s best days are still to come.”

Other top scorers include Vermont Gov. Phil Scott, Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker, Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan, New Hampshire Gov. CHris Sununu and Wyoming Gov. Mark Gordon. The lowest on the list is Oregon Gov. Kate Brown.
