MOVING COMPANY PAIRS UP WITH TURNING POINT, HELPS VICTIMS
A company always on the move offers help to women who need help getting out of dangerous living environments.
For the past three years, Tuscaloosa’s Two Men and a Truck has participated in their company program Movers for Moms. Employees collect necessity items and furniture donations for women every spring, and deliver them to local women’s and family shelters on Mother’s Day.
Tuscaloosa donations benefit Turning Point Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services.
Two men and a Truck Marketing Representative Caroline Sanderson said it’s easy to help.
“This is just an easy way,” she said. “It’s as simple as buying a bottle of shampoo, some socks. We all have stuff at our house that we can give back, and so this is just a great way to not spend a fortune and to help make a difference.”
The moving company is taking donations at their 1001 McFarland Blv. NE location through Thursday.
